At 15:41 SAST we upgraded our database to a larger size; this needed a planned restart, so services were briefly unavailable until 15:49. We have also changed how quote pages refresh so a large quote being processed can no longer overload the database. Separately, Email intake showed as down from 10:11 to 10:42 SAST because of a monitoring false alarm: emails were received and processed normally throughout, and the cause has been fixed. Avtaly was unavailable for about 20 minutes, from 14:32 to 14:52 SAST. Our database ran out of memory under a surge of requests and stopped responding until it restarted at 14:52. No data was lost: quotes, emails and uploads from before and after the interruption are intact.
